The Regional Development Fund (RDF) of Western Macedonia is a Private Body represented by the Regional Governor and supervised by the Regional Government’s Coordinator.

Its main purpose is the Financial Management of the Regional Public Investment Programme (PIP). RDF is the Paying Authority for the majority of the Public Works, which are integrated within the budget of the PIP Investments for the Region of Western Macedonia.

Furthermore, it is the main authority for planning and implementing European Projects for the Region of Western Macedonia (RWM).

In the Regional Development Fund of Western Macedonia, there are 15 employees (all of which hold a university degree) working to address a wide range of regional development aspects.

RDF is a key player in forming policies, which the Regional Government of Western Macedonia, under decisions made by its Council, transform to calls for funding through the Regional Operational Programme.

These projects are in their majority related to local SME’s and strive to change the strategic focus of the appropriate policy instruments according to the Regional RIS3 plan. Furthermore, RDF, has successfully implemented a multitude of EU projects in order to help the Regional Government shape new policies on various regional thematic priorities.
