  The Agency for sustainable Mediterranean cities and territories’ goal is to raise the challenge of urban and territorial development through democratic governance in the Mediterranean.

  The main objective of the Agency is to establish a mechanism of exchange of experience, expertise, cooperation and training, allowing to promote integrated and exemplary initiatives of urban and territorial development in the countries of the Union for the Mediterranean.

  It answers a strong demand of cooperation on behalf of the Mediterranean countries concerning processes, tools and methods, allowing the implementation of an effective urban and territorial planning in a context of regionalization and decentralization.
