The Fraunhofer Institute for Machine Tools and Forming Technology IWU (FRAUNHOFER / FhG IWU) is one of the most renowned research institutes for industrially-led production technology in Germany. At its department “Corporate Management”, methods and tools for the factory planning of low-energy production systems and sites, the energy-aware planning and scheduling of manufacturing processes, for data and information management and linked data applications are developed.
